The National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA), with the support of the Sidney Myer Fund, will provide four $15,000 grants to support the professional development of emerging and mid-career curators of exhibitions and collections in Australia. The Initiative provides the opportunity for successful applicants to gain mentored placements within a gallery, art institution or university.

The program funding may be used in any way that the applicant feels will benefit their proposed project. Examples may include salary for the curator while developing an exhibition including research and/or writing, costs of exhibition space, printing, promotional material or developing a website.

Projects should be 3-12 months in duration and projects taking place in Australia will be given preference.

Applications for funding close on 10 April 2012.
